Scam Alert: Fake HR Email Targeting Employees
Chluski Law has identified a phishing scam in which individuals receive a fake email posing as the HR department. The email claims to announce “Q2 Welfare Packages” and requests recipients to click links to view salary modifications or leave schedules. Although it appears legitimate, the email originates from a suspicious, non-company domain and uses urgent language to encourage quick action.
What to Avoid:
- Do not click on any links unless you are certain the sender is legitimate.
- Verify the sender’s email address — in this case, it is not a valid company domain.
- Be cautious of spelling and grammar errors, which are common in phishing attempts.
- Always confirm sensitive announcements directly with HR using known internal channels.
If you receive a message like this, report it to your IT or security team immediately. Stay alert and help prevent the spread of financial and identity-based fraud.
